BURGOYNE`S CONVENTION ARMY A.L.S. 1p. 4to., Philadelphia, Dec. 12, 1778 by one James Young, probably an officer in the Quarter Master's Department, concerning the march of Burgoyne's convention army from New England to Virginia: "The Quarter M[aste]r Gen[era]l Department have this day made a requisition to me for twenty four Wagons to be at North Wales for the use of the Convention Troops, you will therefore immediately order the aforesaid Number to be at North Wales by to morrow morning. I hope you will do the utmost in your power to have this business performed that the troops be not delayed on acct of Wagons". Loss at bottom along fold lines costing two words, fold splits, otherwise good condition. $200-300
