Description:

A scarce relic related to the female branch of the Hitler Youth, a tan cotton jacket belonging to a young girl from the 'Bund Deutscher Madel' ('League of German Girls'). The jacket bears a patch-style pocket at each breast, with a further similar pocket on each hip, all closed with flaps secured by distinctive braided leather buttons. The garment is closed at the front by five similar buttons. The left sleeve bears a sewn-on insignia patch of the Hitler Youth - four machine-woven red and white panels arranged in a diamond shape, with a mobile swastika within a white diamond at the center. The insignia remains securely attached, though one side has since come unstitched. The regional triangle patch, typically affixed above the insignia patch, unfortunately absent, yet remnants of black threads and tiny holes at that area suggest that it was once present and since removed. The interior lining bears the initials 'ED', embroidered toward the waist in pink thread, yet is otherwise unmarked. The interior lining is quite ragged, with numerous tears and holes throughout. Just good condition. Though bearing no size markings, the jacket is very small in size, suggesting its previous owner was of a very young age.
