BUDDY HOLLY(1936 - 1959) American singer and guitarist, with "The Crickets" he was a major influence in early rock and roll with his hits "That'll Be the Day" and "Peggy Sue". Killed in an airplane crash. Superb vintage S.P. 8" x 10" b/w, a promotional photo showing Holly in head and shoulders, boldly signed at right. Likely taken after his breakup with the Crickets, and during the time he lived in Greenwich Village shortly after his groundbreaking sessions held at the Python Temple. In fine to very fine condition. A real rarity, ideal for display. With an unimpeachable letter of authenticity issue by world-recognized Beatles expert Frank Caiazzo.
