Description:

BUCHENWALD INMATE DEATH RECORD
Party-printed D.S. 1p. oblong 8vo., Buchenwald concentration camp, Sept. 19, 1942, in essence a death certificate filled-out in pencil, in which the camp command skirts the issue of extermination by stating that prisoner Freund Henry, born in Berlin in 1898, had "..."camp food supply..." from May 2, 1942 to the date of this document, which is also the date of his death. The unfortunate inmate is listed on the German state archive website, www.bundesarchive.de, with his date of exportation and other data. Document bears three Buchenwald stamps, and is signed by the camp commandant. A chilling reminder of Nazi efficiency.
