BROWNIE MCGHEE
(1915 - 1996) American folk guitarist known for his collaborations with Sonny Terry. Typed D.S. "Brownie McGhee" 2pp, folio, [New York], July 6, 1959, with MOSES "MOE" ASCH countersigning, a standard songwriter's contract between McGhee and Asch, Folkways Records legendary founder and the man who brought the music of Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, and others to the American mainstream. Lot includes an addendum listing all the titles McGhee signed over to Asch, also signed by both. Very good, slight edge yellowing, two weakened folds, left-center tear.
