BROOKE HART LYNCHING, 1933
(BROOKE HART) (1911 - 1933) San Jose man who was kidnapped and murdered in 1933 and his alleged killers were publically lynched in front of a crowd of thousands and broadcast live on the radio. An unusual postcard photograph, 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" b/w image of the two alleged murders, Thomas Harold Thurmond and John M. Holmes. The two are identified in the negative as "THURMOND" and other, "HOLMES" and dated, "San Jose, Calif. Nov 26 - 1933 11-25- P.M." Creases, else very good.
