BRITISH MEDALS
Good lot of three British military and civilian medals, includes: Military Medal, 4 1/4" x 1 1/2" dia., in silver, depicting King George V in profile on the obverse, with the legend: "Georgius V Britt: N: Rex Et Ind: Imp:". The reverse bears the king''s monogram beneath a crown, atop the legend: "For Bravery in the Field", within a laurel wreath. The edge of the medal is inscribed with the name of the recipient: "L 37836 Dvr. L. A. Norfolk 16/D.A.C. R.F.A.". Bears some wear and tarnish, with some deformation to the rim, else very good. WITH: George Medal, 4 1/2" x 1 1/2" dia., in silver, depicting King George VI in profile on the obverse, with the legend: "Georgius VI D: G: Br: Omn: Rex Et Indiae Imp:". The reverse depicts St. George on horseback, slaying the dragon with his lance, with the legend "The George Medal" around the edge. Minor wear and tarnish, else very good. WITH: Queen Elizabeth II Coronation Medal, 3" x 1 1/4" dia., in silver, depicting Elizabeth in profile on the obverse, with her monogram beneath a crown on the obverse, surrounded by the legend: "Queen Elizabeth II Crowned 2nd June 1953". Very good. Three pieces.

Shipments are sent via USPS Priority, USPS International Priority, DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling and shipping charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight. Please contact us for an estimate before bidding NOTE: Large, heavy or bulky items may not be shipped by the auctioneer - arrangements for shipping of these items via a third-party shipper may be arranged through the auction house. Customers who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
