Description:

BRITISH ANTI-NAZI PROPAGANDA
Good group of seven pieces of anti-Nazi propaganda published in Great Britain, includes: "Mr. Smith and Mr. Schmidt", by Herbert Morrison (London: Collins), 1939, 30pp. 8vo., a pamphlet contrasting life in Britain and in the Third Reich, with special emphasis on the freedoms and rights enjoyed by the British people, and the anonymity and dehumanization of Nazi Germany. Bears a pencil notation on the cover, and minor soiling, else very good. WITH: A subscription form for "Hitler Speaks" by Hermann Rauschning, an early confidant of Hitler who broke with the Nazis and emigrated to the United States. Rauschning published "Hitler Speaks" as a record of Hitler's private conversations in the period 1932-1934, with the intention of exposing Hitler as mentally unstable. Fine. Godden (London: Catholic Truth Society), 1941, 20pp. 8vo., a pamphlet exposing Nazi atrocities in Poland, with special emphasis placed on the quashing of the Catholic Church. very good. Delafield" (London; Collins), 1939, 30pp. 8vo., a pamphlet decrying the indoctrination of children in the Third Reich, thoroughly illustrated with photographs and drawings, including an illustration from one of Julius Streicher's loathsome anti-Semitic children's books. Very good. WITH: "All They Like Sheep", by Howard Spring (London: Collins), 1939, a pamphlet examining Nazi propaganda and the manner in which it is used to distort the opinions of the German people. Pencil notation of the front cover, else very good. WITH: "The Woman From Poland", by W.J. Brown , 4pp. 8vo., the transcript of a radio broadcast made by the BBC on Sep. 23, 1941, which presents an eyewitness account of German oppression in Poland, and a call for British citizens to redouble their efforts against Germany. Folds, else very good. WITH: "Children Into Ruffians: The New Nazi Education" (London: H.M.
