A.L.S. as Representative, 19. 4to., Washington, Mar. 5, 1853 to the Secretary of the Navy introducing Memphis resident James Coleman who seeks a position as Naval Storekeeper and whom Breckinridge claims he has known since his boyhood. He adds: "...I do not desire to intrude in matters out of my own state, and hope that this note will only be regarded as an endorsement..."
