(Bon Homme Richard) Pair of interesting documents concerning estates of men who served on John Paul Jones' flagship, the Bonne Homme Richard, which was sunk during an engagement with the British warship Serapis. Each document is 1p. folio, Dec. 8, 1798 and mentions the name of the Bonne Homme Richard, the crewman's name, and other particulars. Severe chipping with repaired fold splits, one chip affecting vessel's name on one document; still any official mention of this famous vessel is uncommon.
