BERTRAND RUSSELL
(1872 - 1970) British philosopher, mathematician and essayist, an ardent supporter of peace, winner of the Nobel Prize for literature. A pair of items, the first an A.L.S. 1p. 8vo., Surrey, Dec. 4, 1951, to Gladys Combes, in response to a request for a signed book: "...The best I can do is to send you my autograph in triplicate, & you can then paste it into the books...". Along with another sheet bearing the three separate signatures as promised! With original holograph envelope, very good.

Shipping

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyer's should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
