BERNHARD FRANK'S 'HIAG' FILES
BERNHARD FRANK (1913-2011) SS Commander of the Obersalzberg complex who arrested Hermann Goring on April 25, 1945 by order of Adolf Hitler. He had previously served as a librarian at Wewelsburg Castle, the ideological training ground for the SS, then occupied a senior position on Himmler's administrative staff. Later, Frank served as a commander at the eastern front. He eventually was made commander of Obersalzberg. Large collection comprised of 60+ documents, many bearing Frank's notations, most being notices from, and copies of correspondence to HIAG, a lobby group and a denialist veterans' organization founded by former high-ranking Waffen-SS personnel in West Germany in 1951. Its main objective was to achieve legal, economic, and historical rehabilitation of the Waffen-SS. The correspondence, untranslated, includes lists of deceased SS officers from Tolz-Braunschweig region, plans and agenda for HIAG meetings, news of the organization, articles, political stragies, etc. WITH: an approx. 15 additional documents, again postwar, related to HIAG and the SS as well. Should be researched.

Shipping, handling and insurance charges will be added to all invoices. Shipments are sent via FEDEX, USPS Express, USPS International Priority, and DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option. Shipments will only be sent to the registered bidder address, re-routing shipments is not permitted. All shipments require a direct signature, no exceptions. Shipping to certain countries is extremely expensive and will be invoiced according to dimensional weight as required! By law the full value is required by customs for international shipments. Please inquire before bidding! International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight. Please contact us for an estimate before bidding. Customers who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee. Please allow 2-3 weeks for shipments after receipt of payment due to the high volume of packages being shipped.
