DAVID BERKOWITZ(b. 1953) Mass murderer who called himself the "Son of Sam", terrorized New York City in the Seventies killing six under orders from a neighbor's dog. A.L.S. "David", 1p. 4to., Attica Prison, May 30, 1979. The killer sends a lady friend some "presents", saying "Don't spend it all in one place", and warning that autograph auctioneer "Charles Hamilton isn't allowed to sell anything ". He asks that the items, likely signed dollar bills, not "end up in Klausner's hands", and closes: "Do you think I write good?...I would advise you to destroy this page...". He also sends a newspaper clipping of controversial preacher Reverend Ike, noting: "I got one for you too - Guess he's pretty popular". With transmittal envelope, three pieces. $150-200
