Description:

BERGHOF MAID'S APRON
One of the more unusual relics we have had the occasion to offer, an original maid's serving apron, found by an American soldier in 1945 in the midst of looting Hitler's mountain retreat at Berchtesgaden. The apron is in a half-moon shape, approx. 15 x 15", and is constructed of heavy black, green and white silk with a floral design embroidered on the front. A 2" metallic fringe around the border completes the presentation. Very fine condition. Ex: Charles Hamilton.
