Benjamin Pierce 1757-1839 American Revolutionary officer who joined the army during the fighting at Lexington and fought at Bunker Hill, Governor of New Hampshire, father of president Franklin Pierce. A.L. S. signed twice, 1p. 4to., Hillsborough, Apr. 8, 1812 requesting the financial records of a gentleman. In postscript which hee also signs, he adds: I wish this to be a profound secret. . Light toning and soiling, otherwise very good.
