91. PIERRE G. T. BEAUREGARD Fine association A.E.S. "G.T.B" in pencil at the bottom of the text of a telegram sent to him by fellow general Earl Van Dorn on a South-Western Telegraph Co. form, 1p. 8vo., [n.p.], Apr. 27, 1862. Writing from Memphis, Van Dorn advises: "Do you desire to take any steps in regard to the Memphis & Grenada road. Earl Van Dorn Maj. Gen.". At bottom Beauregard writes his reply: "The same as for M. & Ch. All not in use wagons machinery &c must be removed forthwith to place of safety - & some bridges near Memphis must be destroyed at proper time. G.T.B.". Lightly toned, else very good.           $1,000 - 1,500
