Description:

BAND OF BROTHERS POSTER
Extraordinary signed poster, 39" x 27 1/2", a black-and-white still in poster size from the immensely succesful HBO series "Band of Brothers" which dramatized the incredible military exploits of "Easy Company", 506th Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division. The poster has been signed by 43 World War II veterans of the company, many of whom were represented in the series, along with the author of "Band of Brothers", historian STEPHEN AMBROSE. In June, 2001 our consignor, the Official Historian of the company and an author himself, attended the premier of the television series in Paris along with the cast and veterans of the regiment. He was asked to have the attending veterans of Easy Company sign seven of these posters, as he was the only "outsider" to personally know each individual. The final signed prints were given to Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg, Tony To (executive producer), the Utah Beach Museum, the National D-Day Museum, the Smithsonian, with the last signed poster kept by our consignor... and offered here. In addition to Ambrose's signature there appears the signatures of RICHARD "DICK" WINTERS, RON SPEIRS, ANTONIO GARCIA, JOHN MARTIN, DENVER RANDLEMAN, DARRELL "SHORTY" POWERS, WILLIAM "BILL" GUARNERE, DON MALARKEY, P. LAMARAUX, J. D. HENDERSON, D. KING, F. PERCONTE, N. NEITZKE, F. SOBELESKI, L. HASHEY, H. ZIMMERMAN, J. ALLEY, E. JOINT, E. TIPPER, J. B. STOKES, P. PERRUGINI, R. STRAYER, P. O'KEEFE, J. FOLEY, R. SPINA, S. H. MATHESON, S. H. MATHESON, E. MCCLUNG, M. CLARK, B. MAYNARD, S. GRODSKI, C. LIPTON, R. BAIN, J. JESNEIWSKI, W. WINGETT, P. ROGERS, S. BALLINO, B. TAYLOR, D. BOND, B. HEFFRON, C. LYALL, and F. GUTH. A very limited edition of 101 copy prints of this poster were made to benefit the WWII Foundation and one of those copies alone brought $9,000 at a Colorado auction two years ago. Since 2001, nearly all of the signers of this poster have passed, thus this poster is unique and irreplaceable. Fine condition.
