Good lot of six items signed by notable aviators of the World War II era and later, includes: CHUCK YEAGER (b. 1923) The first pilot to exceed the speed of sound in flight. Limited-edition print issued by the National Aviation Hall of Fame, 11" x 17", a profile illustration of the Bell X-1 test aircraft in which Yeager made his historic flight. He signs near the bottom in pencil, with another hand adding the pencil limitation "112/1000" at bottom right. Fine. WITH: ALBERT SCOTT CROSSFIELD (1921-2006) U.S. Test pilot, the first to fly twice the speed of sound. Limited-edition print issued by the National Aviation Hall of Fame, 11" x 17", a profile illustration of the Douglas D-558-2 "Skyrocket" test aircraft in which Crossfield made his flight. He signs near the bottom in pencil, with another hand adding the limitation "148/500" in pencil at bottom right. Fine. WITH: EUGENE A. CERNAN (b. 1934) American astronaut, flew on Gemini IX, Apollo 10 and commanded Apollo 17, becoming the last man to walk on the moon. Limited-edition print issued by the National Aviation Hall of Fame, 11" x 17", a profile illustration of a Douglas A-4 Skyhawk in Navy livery. Cernan signs boldly near the bottom in blue ink, with another hand adding the pencil limitation "60/500" at bottom right. Fine. WITH: ROBIN OLDS (1922-2007) Long-serving U.S. fighter ace, scoring victories during World War II and the Vietnam War. Limited-edition print issued by the National Aviation Hall of Fame, 11" x 17", a profile illustration of his F-4 Phantom II "Scat XXVII". He signs in pencil near the bottom, with another hand adding the pencil limitation "222/250". Fine. WITH: Group of three limited-edition posters commemorating the 28th "Gathering of Eagles" program at the Air Command and Staff College at Maxwell Air Force Base. The two smaller, each 7 1/2" x 26", are signed in pencil by aviators JACKSEL M. BROUGHTON, LLOYD W. NEWTON, JAMES L. HOBSON, JR., JOHN R. ALISON, DAVID J. THATCHER, Tuskegee airman CHARLES E. MCGEE, Apollo 16 astronaut JOHN W. YOUNG, AUGUSTO C. BEDACARRATZ, REGINA C. AUNE, JOE M. JACKSON, Apollo Flight Director EUGENE F. KRANTZ, WAYNE L. FISK, and BRUCE P. CRANDALL, beside their color portraits. These posters are accompanied by a third 19" x 26" poster depicting the aircraft with which these individuals are best associated, signed in pencil by artist Jay Ashurst at bottom right, and with the pencil limitation "334/500" at lower left. All three in fine condition. Seven pieces.

Shipments are sent via USPS Priority, USPS International Priority, DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling and shipping charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight.
