[ Autographs ] WILLIAM GREENE D.S. as Governor of Rhode Island 1p. folio, Providence, May 4, 1784, a document in which a widow of a Revolutionary War officer transfers power of attorney to Samuel Ward, son of the member of the Continental Congress, witnessed by William Greene as Governor, Caty Greene, likely his wife, and Mary Ward, the wife of Samuel Ward. Minor fold splits, one partially affecting the "G" in the governor's signature, good to very good.
