[ Autographs ] WILLIAM BRADFORD (1755 - 1795) American Revolution military officer and veteran of Valley Forge, a close friend of Madison and Washington who appointed him Attorney General to replace Edmund Randolph. A.D.S. 1p. 4to., Bedford County, Pa., Jan. 1783, a complaint lodged against "...Sarah McKinney... Singlewoman...did commit Fornication with a certain Person unknown and did permit the same Person unknown then and there to beget a Bastard Child on the Body of her the said Sarah McKinney..." Light toning along folds, light chipping at top, otherwise very good condition.
