[ Autographs ] WALTER E. DISNEY (1901 - 1966) American artist, film producer and businessman, creator of Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck, producer of the first animated film with sound, builder of theme parks in Anaheim and Orlando. Fine D.S. "Walter E. Disney" 1p. 4to., Burbank, May 20, 1965, a contract in which "...the undersigned [Disney] elects to exercise the option granted to him...for a ten percent (10%) interest in the following tentatively titled motion picture: FOLLOW ME, BOYS!...". Also signed by ROY O. DISNEY, Disney's nephew who would later help administer the studio. Based on the book God and My Country by MacKinley Kantor, the heartwarming and humorous film Follow Me Boys was released by Walt Disney Productions on December 1, 1966, just seven months after our contract. It starred Fred MacMurray, Vera Miles, Lillian Gish, and was the first big role for the young Kurt Russell. File holes to top margin, otherwise boldlysigned in blue ink and in very good condition, perfect for framing. Walt and Roy are tough to find on a single document.
