[ Autographs ] VENUSTIANO CARRANZA (1859 - 1920) Mexican revolutionary and politician, proclaimed "first Chief" by a coalitionof revolutionary bands including Villa and Zapata, elected President of Mexico but deposed and killed attempting to escape the capitol witha trainload of gold and lady followers. Extraordinary, oversize and quite rare S.P. 10" x 14" sepia, a full-length image of Carranza whilehead of the Constitutionalists, showing him full-length as he preparesto board a train, signed "V. Carranza" and dated April 3, 1914 at Juarez. Beautifully framed with the image floating above a mat in a shadowbox with an ornate, carved wood molding frame. Very good condition.
