[ Autographs ] Union Soldier's Letter Union soldier's letter, 6pp. 8vo. [n.p. n.d.]. Sylvester Kimball writes his wife: "...I have got a little song that I cut out of a paper and will send it to you. You sent some nice verses to me... I have got a nice picture to send to you of Grand Gulf where we got fired on by the rebels and William Lam of our Co. was killed by a cannon ball. A man in the regiment tinted the picture. The 4th Wisconsin was along too...' The song clipped from the paper is with the letter, but unfortunately the photograph is not.
