[ Autographs ] The Sharpshooter Perhaps the most famous of the Harper's Weekly engravings, "The Sharpshooter" by Winslow Homer depicts a Union soldier straddling a limb on a pine tree and taking careful aim at his target. Image size is 14in x 9.5in. Removed from Harper's Weekly, Nov. 15, 1862, with a few tape marks at extreme blank margins which would easily mat-out, leaving a clean, fresh image.
