Partly-printed D.S. 1p. oblong folio, Hartford, June 2, 1790, an appointment of Solomon Newall to serve the state as "...Ensign of the fifth Company of Militia..." Boldly signed by Governor Huntington at bottom, co-signed by GEORGE WYLLYS. Toned, with several small holes at folds rebacked, chip at upper-left corner,overall good condition.
