[ Autographs ] SALVADOR ALVARADO (1880 - 1924) Mexican revolutionary and Governor of Yucatan, he was a contemporary of Zapata and Villa who abolished private property, freed the peons, and later faced a firing squad for his "unpopular" views. Rare, fine content A.Q.S. on an album page, New York, Aug. 1, 1920, in Spanish. In part: "... Government must continually gain strength to protect the social movement...[lacking which there will be] anarchy in the mind, and anarchy in the life..." Fine condition.
