[ Autographs ] RUSSIAN/ROMANIAN ANTI-SEMITIC BROADSIDE Rare anti- Semitic broadside from occupied Romania, 16 .5in x 14.5in in Russian and Romanian, [likely the Jewish ghetto in Galicia, ca. 1944-45], being official regulations posted by the government restricting the activities of Jews in the ghetto and hinting at deportation. The broadside is headed: "Announcement of the Central Commission on the Evacuation of Jews", and reads in part: "...All Jews living in the ghetto, may not come out from their houses before 1200...[otherwise they] will be arrested, brought to the bureau of registration and sentfor evacuation. They will not be allowed to return...for their families...Owners of houses in the ghetto do not have the right to hide Jews...owners of the houses must declare the location of Jews during raids, which will be started soon. Those guilty of hiding Jews will be brought to the Police Prefecture..." Some wrinkling and soiling, otherwise very good.
