[ Autographs ] Richard Taylor 1826-1879 Confederate lieutenant general and son of Zachary Taylor, he fought with Jackson in the Valley Campaign and crushed Bank's advance in the Red River campaign. D.S. 1p. 7in x 3.5in, St. Charles Parish, La., Dec. 27, 1855 As a financial officer of the parish, Taylor signs a partly-printed promissory note issued to Emile Fastet requiring the borrower to repay E100.89 at an interest rate of eight percent per year. Light wear, very good condition.
