[ Autographs ] PIERRE G. T. BEAUREGARD (1818 - 1893) Confederate major general who initiated the attack on Fort Sumter which started the Civil War. Beauregard also led with great distinction at First Bull Run, Shiloh, and in the defense of Richmond. Bold signature, "G. T. Beauregard, New Orleans, La. April 25, 1889" penned on a small card. Mounting remains to verso, otherwise very good.
