Scarce printed L.S. 1p. 6in x 4in card, Bad Pyrmont, West Germany, Dec. 1954 sending thanks upon his receipt of the Nobel Prize. In part: "...I wish I could answer individually all the messages of congratulation on the award of the Nobel Prize... Unfortunately this is impossible. Please accept my warmest thanks for you kind words. The friendship which prompted them has made me no lesshappy than the award itself..." Fine condition.
