"John La Farge" on his correspondence with an original abstract pen and ink drawing on verso, 1p. oblong 8vo. New York, April14, [n.y.], to Mr. Shaw. In part: "...Unless some unforeseen complication should prevent, I hope to have...the pleasure of being with you tomorrow at the Dinner in honor of the Bensons...". Boldly written, slight smearing and wear throughout, otherwise very good, and uncommon with an original drawing.
