[ Autographs ] JOHN HANCOCK D.S. 1p. oblong 8vo., Boston, Nov. 20, 1783, an account for: "...goods put on board the sloop employed to assist the Dutch man-of-war that sank off Cape Cod", with a listing of various expenses for boats, hands, etc. At top, Hancock writes: "His Excellency John Hancock Esqr. - to Thos. Knox" with an additional noteat bottom: "To my Extra Attendance". Paper loss on right margin affects the sums set forth, otherwise Hancock's text is unaffected andthe document is very good.
