[ Autographs ] JANIS JOPLIN (1943 - 1970) American rock and blues singer who incorporated the styles of Bessie Smith and Billy Hollidayproducing albums with Big Brother and the Holding Company and Full Tilt Boogie Band. Died of a heroin overdose in 1970. Large and bold signature "LOVE Janis Joplin" in red marker on the back cover of her 1968 album "Cheap Thrills" which featured her spectacular rendition of"Summertime" and of course the Robert Crumb cover illustrations. Albumcover is only moderately worn but still in very good condition.
