[ Autographs ] ISAAC ADAMS (1802 - 1883) American printing pioneer who with his brother Seth developed a mechanical press capable of printing large sheets, especially suitable for book publication, and essentially making the hand press obsolete. Fine lot of 13 A.L.S., some written at the bottom of letters to him, about 25pp. 8vo., Sandwich, N.H., 1875, a series of letters concerning Adams' services as executor of his brother Seth's estate, with financial content, stock transactions, funeral arrangements, and so on. Overall very good.
