[ Autographs ] Henry Ward 1732-1797 American revolutionary, a member of the Stamp Act Congress who early on espoused the cause on national independence and during the Revolution served on the Committee of Correspondence. D.S. 1p. 8in x 3.5in, Rhode Island, 1783 a certification that Daniel Manton had attended sessions of the Assembly in Providence for ten days and was entitled to compensation from the General Treasury. On the verso, Manton also signs acknowledging receipt. Very good.
