[ Autographs ] Henry J. Hunt 1819-1889 Union brigadier general who broke the Confederate pursuit at Bull Run. he is best remembered for commanding the artillery that wreaked havoc on Pickett's Charge at Gettysburg. Signed endorsement on the verso of a 1p. folio inventory and inspection report, near Brandy Station, Apr. 26, 1864 The endorsement reads: 'Approved. The stores within condemned will be disposed of as recommended by the inspector. Henry J. Hunt, Brig. Gen Ch. of Arty.' and Hunt signs at conclusion.
