[ Autographs ] (Gettysburg Shoulder Scale) An excellent Gettysburg recovered item, a brass shoulder scale with attachment for affixing to a uniform, recovered at Culp's Hill, the scene of fierce fighting on the first day at Gettysburg. The relic is intact with all scales and most hardware intact, with a few holes at the raised, rounded end Shoulder scales were worn by officers of artillery and cavalry and were intended to help ward off sword blows. A great items for display!
