[ Autographs ] GEORGIA O'KEEFFE (1887 - 1986) American painter and wife of Alfred Stieglitz, she was a leading artist of the twentieth century whose paintings were devoted to abstract floral forms, desertterrain and animal skulls. Uncommon A.L.S. signed: "g." on the verso of a picture postcard of Tahiti, Papeete, Jan.17, 1960, to a Mrs. Anita Young, one of her business associates, addressed to her by O'Keefe, and reading, in full: "I believe I have found this the most beautiful place in the world. At this moment it seems the most perfect I wish you could see it - g.". Very good to fine.
