"Dwight Eisenhower" signed just three days after the invasion of Normandy, 1p. 8vo., June 9, 1944 to a lady in England, a friendly letter which Ike took the time to write while his men were clawing their way off the beaches and into hedgerow country. In part: "...[my mother] will be very delighted with the handkerchief. My thanks, also, for the ribbon for my little Scottie. It was most generous of you..." Heavy folds with a few pinholes in margin, slight soiling, generally good to very good.
