Cav. writes a friend, in part: '...the report here is that they are a-fighting about Weldon... I went over to Gen. Whitings headquarters and they said stay... they say that we will be attacked tonight... I hope this unjust struggle will soon be at a close... take some of your selfs & not get killed..." Phonetic spelling and some soiling, otherwise good condition.
