[ Autographs ] (Confederate Draft Dodger) Interesting A.L.S., 1p. 4to., Isle of Wight Courthouse, Apr. 11, 1862 concerning a Southern man who refuses to serve in the Confederate Army. In this retained copy, George T. Hall writes: "...Samuel L Hargrove... if forced into the military service would shoot over the enemy's head, that he has got all he has from them, that he had nothing against Yankees, and that he would go to them & before would destroy his house... take such steps as in your judgment may seem proper...' Very good.
