In full: "In order to please Frau MichuI must place within this book something so that it will not be forgotten that I am in her life. Therefore I offer this little ditty with heart-felt sincerity." A fine example of the great physicist's characteristic self-effacing style. The book has countless other signatures and sentiments, many of which may be luminaries of the age,and deserving of further research. Spine split, and some pages detached, light yellowing, but Einstein's verse is boldly penned and very good.
