[ Autographs ] Al Capone 1899-1947 American gangster and Chicago mob giant he orchestrated the St. Valentines Day Massacre wiping out BugsMorans gang and ruled over the nations largest criminal enterprise. Capone was eventually nabbed on tax evasion charges and passed a comfortable eight years in prison. Bold pencil inscription and signature on the illustrated letterhead of his headquarters the Lexington Hotel in Chicago. In full: "To my friend Peter Marisca Al Capone" Worn at folds with a tiny fold junction hole at top of "C" in signature edges rough but easily matted out. Peter Marisca was the personal chauffeur of millionare publisher Cornelius Vanderbilt Jr., and during an interview with Vanderbilt, Marisca and Capone became friends. Included in this lot is Vanderbilts 12pp 4to typed interview with Capone, ca. 1930 generously sprinkled with direct quotes.
