[ Autographs ] (ABRAHAM LINCOLN) A fine collection of six photographsof Gen. Thomas T. Eckert Union telegraph officer assigned to the War Department who worked closely on a daily basis with Lincoln. Lincoln invited Eckert to Ford's Theater on the night of his assassination, but the telegraph operator was detained by Stanton. Nevertheless, Eckert was at Lincoln's bedside as he approached death.
