[ Autographs ] A PIECE OF HITLER'S DESK According to the letter of provenance, an American soldier and aide at the Potsdam Conference inJune, 1945 was allowed access to Hitler's office by the Russians who controlled the building at the time. While in the office, the soldier broke-off a small piece of marble from the slab that made up the top of Hitler's desk and kept it as a souvenir. The mottled brown and tan colored marble fragment measures about 2.5in x 1" x 1" with one smoothly-polished surface. With a copy of the officer's letter of provenance and original signed certification by Charles Hamilton. Certainly an interesting relic.
