In part: '...I welcome the sentiments which you expressed on behalf of the students of Liege and yourself personally as a guarantee that psychoanalysis will soon be taking root and finding practitioners in your country as well..." Freud also discusses a question concerning his being named to an "Honorary Committee', and concludes: '...I was happy to hear of your plans to come to Vienna in the coming years to undergo psychoanalytic training. You will probably discover that six months is not long enough for this purpose. Just don't let yourself be dissuaded by the news that you won't find me here any longer...'Freud may have been psychic as well; perhaps he foresaw that within two years of the dateof this letter, the Nazi regime would force him out of Austria to London where he re-established his practice and teaching.
