According to the letter of provenance, an American officer and aide at the Potsdam Conference in June, 1945 was allowed access to the Chancellery by Russian officials. he spied the flag, and removed it as a souvenir. The flag bears a black swastika resting in a white circle on a red field and measures 38in x 20in. In fine condition, with a copy of theletter of provenance and original, signed certification by Charles Hamilton.
