Druot submits a report titled "Report to his Majesty the Emperor' concerning clothing and expenses of other French officers in exile, mentioning: '...Since the officers cannot be housed in the military buildings nor can they have furniture. Mr. Gauscot would like to knowthe intention of his majesty...' In his hand Napoleon writes in the left margin: 'There must be housing at Longone for 50 officers. make a report for me about this. Approved.' 'he signs with his initials "NP.", as he usually did.
