T.L.S. on his company letterhead, 1p. 4to., Paris, 1950 making a request to produce a stage production of a work by Jean Anouilh; RUDOLF BING (1902-1997) Impressario, General Manager of the Metropolitan Opera. Typed D.S. 1p. 8vo., [n.p., n.d.], an excerpt from memoirs; EUGENE IONESCO (1909 - 1994) French playwright who inaugurated the theater of the absurd with his The Bald Soprano" and "Rhinoceros". T.L.S. 1p. 4to., Paris, 1997, sending an autograph; WALTER HAMPDEN (1879 - 1955) American stage actor, signature pasted to the cover of 8pp. 4to. illustrated promotional program picturing him as "Cyrano"; DEE BROWN (1908-2002) Author and historian. T.L.S. 1p. 8vo., 1972, mentioning that he believes that there are no known photographs of Crazy Horse; ERICK HAWKINS (1909-1984) American modern-dance choreographer and dancer. A.L.S. 2pp. 8vo., New York [n.d.], to John [Gruen]: "...Lucie's new piece...is the difference between innovation and originality!...Here is a review of fall performances at Kennedy Center..."; GERTRUDE KINGSTON (1866-1937) English actress and theater manager, signed pencil portrait; and two pieces signed by unidentified individuals, an 1846 check, Brooklyn, signed "Jacques Cortelyou" and a T.L.S., 1p. 8vo., New York, 1946, signed "Robert de Rothschild". Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. NOTE: Large, heavy or bulky items are not shipped by the auctioneer - arrangements for shipping of these items via a third-party shipper may be arrange through the auction house.
