Pendergast.Truman mentions that he has received a solicitation from a public relations firm which wants to make a film on Thomas J. Pendergast. hewrites: "...This is one of several I have received it seems to me this one has the best background...' Included is the solicitation from Orville Mcdonald Assoc., and a copy of Truman's letter to them which reads in part: '...if you are going to make a Kansas City Star picture that makes Pendergast out as every sort of a villain, which he wasn't, then I will have nothing whatever to do with you...'
